What are some natural ways to get rid of fleas on dogs?
Posted by: | CommentsFlea problem?
Posted by: | CommentsOK, I need some serious help. My cat has fleas, and try as we might, we just can’t seem to rid him of them. Frontline Plus didn’t work, a natural flea spray and combing did some good, as well as a bath and another round of flea combing….he’s still got fleas on him! Our dog is on Revolution, and HE keeps on itching. I tried the soapy water in a pan with a light over it….no fleas the next morning. I know I need to treat ALL areas of my carpet, but I don’t want to use an insecticide. I will if I have to (and I’m reaching the end of my rope here), but I’d like something a little safer considering I have the animals and a 7 year old son. I’ve heard people recommending boric acid, but I have no idea where to find it. Does the Flea Busters powder work? I’m inclined to try it because we think the fleas may be coming from another apartment in the building, but I’m leary about wasting more money on yet another useless product. These fleas don’t seem to be bothered by anything!!! Help!!!!!
I love being told the Frontline works when I was finding live fleas on my cat a WEEK after application. Yeah, sure it works….this is why I’ve seen multiple complaints online about it NOT working. I’m not wasting my money on it again. I understand it’s merely a preventive medication, but it’s supposed to kill the fleas on my cat…and it didn’t. Seems kind of useless to me. And yes, I applied it right.
I thought about trying Advantage, but like I said (if someone would read my question in its entirey, they’d know this), I don’t want to treat my animals for the fleas without treating my home. I KNOW they’ll keep coming back if I don’t get them out of my carpet….but they’ll keep getting into my apartment if I don’t get them off my ANIMALS. And NOTHING IS WORKING ON EITHER.
How to give Spastic cat a bath?
Posted by: | CommentsI put a natural flea/tick repellent on my cat and now has flaking skin that is making him itch like crazy. I want to get the oil off of him, but he has never had a bath & he has all of his claws (and teeth). What soap should I use and what ways can I keep myself from bodily harm?
Realistic answers would be most helpful. Thanks!
P.S. How can I make his skin feel better?
Natural way to kill fleas?
Posted by: | CommentsMoved into a rental house where the former renters had pets. When they moved out, the fleas stayed. Now when we do anything on the floor, we get bitten. Don’t really want to spray poisons as we have kids playing on the floors all the time. Know any natural ways to get rid of a flea infestation?
there must be natural ways to do this.
Natural Fleas Remedies for Cats?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve read on the internet about using a lemon & water spray to kill fleas in combination with sprinkling garlic powder on their food. Anyone who has tried these, please let me know the results because Frontline and Advantage have both failed me and I’m tired of putting pesticides on my cats.
Is there a Natural solution for fleas???
Posted by: | Commentshas anyone out there found a natural solution that works for repelling fleas from thier dog or cat? I have heard that garlic and brewers yeast are natural repellents. Also, there are many different natural essential oil sprays that contain oils such as citronella, eucalyptus etc… is there anyone that has found a natural product that works, as I am searching for one. Thanks!
This is not a “tricky” question, and I’m not looking for an advice, lecture or a link.
Just curious what people think.
Thank you in advance.
