"This Best Selling First Time Cat Fleas! Help!? Tends to SELL OUT VERY FAST! If this is a MUST HAVE product, be sure to Order Now at Amazon.com to avoid disappointment!"

My poor kitties have fleas. Hubby and I bought a spray for the furniture, carpet, pretty much an all-purpose spray everything type spray. I have given them a flea bath and combed them. I also put a flea collar on them, but I still found live fleas. So this morning I gave them a second bath, combed and still found some live ones… two of them jumped on me and I freaked out, I put new flea collars on them, threw my clothes away and took the hottest shower I could stand lol.

But I’m so frustrated… what I do to rid them of this problem once and for all? What am I doing wrong? What will help me if they jump on me again, or what will keep them from jumping on me??
Also, my vac is a bagless?? So I’ve been dumping it outside, but is that good enough? I typcially vac every day, sometimes twice a day.

Wooww, nice product! I want to share this product!

What customers say about First Time Cat Fleas! Help!??

  1. do you have carpet? if u do you need to get that professionally cleaned, also if u can tell them your cats have fleas they will clean it and get rid of the eggs..

also u need to vacum every day for about 2 weeks after that.. kill the life cycle.. as for the cats talk to your vet they will be able to tell you more im not 100% on the anti flea products.. they will suggest a good one but

  2. try capstar. it’s awesome. i got it from my vet, but you can find it anywhere amazon, petmeds, e-bay. anyway it’s a pill. you mush it in some soft food and it works in 10 or 15 minutes. it kills them including the eggs.

  3. My suggestion for getting rid of cat fleas is visit this website:
    http://www.ehow.com/how_2439_get-rid-fleas.html
    copy and paste it!
    Hope it works

  4. You need to be using something from your vet (for both the house and the cat) rather than something you might have bought from a shop.

Treat your cat and then treat the house. The house is very important because this is where the fleas are laying their eggs.

Once you are on top of it, You will need to treat your cat every month

  5. try frontline…you put it on the back of their neck and it absorbs in their blood killing 100% of flea’s and tick’s within 48 hours and works for a month…its the vets number 1 choice for fleaing your pets…

  6. well what you do is go to the vets to get some flea tablets and yuw can buy them from the supermarket

  7. Hi there, I am not a Vet but I do work at an animal hospital, yes it is fleas season, first thing you need to do is not bathe the cat again, what people don’t realize is that you strip the oils of your kittens skin each time you give it a bath, that will lead to dander and then comes the dander. If you have a regular vet go in and ask for a “capstar” pill. It is what we call at work the magic pill. it will start working in 15 minutes and will kill every flea on the kitten,,,it works for 24 hours and give instant relief. You didn’t mention how old the kitten was so you may need to tell the person who helps you at the Vets office how old the kitten is,,,you may just need to give 1/2 a pill. they cost $7.00 at our place so it should be around that price. Now for your home, the same day you give the pill you need to spray your carpets and vacuum real well. if you have a bag vacuum cleaner besure to throw away the bag outside, this is one step most people forget to do and those darn critters will find a way out..Don’t waste you money on flea product from walmart or pet stores, the reason those kind of stores can sell them is because they are not prescription strengh and don’t really do any good. If you kitten is an indoor cat I would recommend that you get a topical from the Vet like ” Advantage” or “Frontline” they work great and you shouldn’t have any further problems. Hope this helps you.

  8. use frontline its the best

  9. I recommend Frontline it’s fantastic !! it’s regarded as one of the best flea treatments in the word. You can buy it over the counter from any vets they always recommend it too.I have used this on my cat since he was 12 weeks old, and since then he has not had a single flea on him,it’s fantastic stuff !!!He’s now 15 months old. When I first started using Frontline I used a couple of flea bombs to get rid of the fleas that were in the house already and they worked 100 % I used the sprays but found them useless because you need to completley fumagate a room and the bombs do this (making sure to seal the room up) and the sprays don’t do this at all. Use Frontline and you won’t regret it. (when applying it you have to make sure it goes on the skin only) My vet told me flea collars are useless because the fleas usually congregate around near the tail area, so putting a collar is a waste of time. You can buy Frontline off the internet for a bit cheaper but I recommend that you buy it from a vet because that way you know it’s the real mckoy and it hasn’t been tampered with.I freaked out like you when my kitten had them and then so I decided to try Frontline because I had read so many fantastic reviews about it on here.Good luck.

    Best Wishes. Kerry (London)
