please help me my dog keeps on scratching but she has no fleas and she has sores on her back that she will not even let me have a good look at I changed her food cause i throught maybe that may be why but she is still scratching should I bath her and will that hurt her cause of the sores on her back?
Your dog may have eczema or another skin condition, but it is best to take her to the vet if she has open sores.
your dog has a skin irritation, like us humans they can get dermatitis & other flakey skin allergies
You need to take the dog to the vet, if you dont the scabs and sores can get infected & he will keep scratching as hes in pain..
He will need some cream or antibiotics from the Vet, Take your dog to the vet so he can clean the wounds & give the dog medication to cure it,
It will not go away by it self or by changing food, it needs medication to get better, & no do not use human creams etc on the dog, it can make it worse
Besides what Robin G. and Jesse J. said, your dog might have a tapeworm. Tapeworms can tunnel underneath the skin, which itches the dog. If your dog is also nibbling on its skin, definitely consider tapeworms. I would give your dog a bath, it might help sooth the itching. Take your dog to the vet to have it closely examined. I hope your dog gets better!
it’s probably just dry skin, but take your dog to the vet to be safe
