What customers say about I sprayed a flea and tick spray on my cat.he started getting white ooze in his mouth. Why is this?.pls! help??

  1. put some peroxide down his throat til he throws up.

  2. Call vet asap!! Your cat is having a bad reaction to the flea spray. Many can’t be used on cats. You may have to bathe cat to remove but call vet & see what they advise.

  3. My vet said it’s normal if they lick up some of it. Try to get him to drink some water. Next time just spray it on the nape of his neck so that he cannot lick at it.

  4. YOU don’t have a cat or a dog…YOU HAVE A KITTEN…you could kill it using this..take the cat to the vet or call an animal posion control center..and PLEASE READ WHAT IT SAYS ON THE CAN BEFORE USING.
Sorry but you have alot to learn about being a pet owner.

  5. why on earth any vet tech would recommend using peroxide to induce emosis is beyond me, please dont do that! and to the vet tech WTF, ever heard of apomorphine or washing soda crystals, even salt water?
inducing vomiting would not help in this situation as the cat is unlikely to have orally ingested the flea treatment but rather absorbed it through the skin, the flea treatment may also be caustic so just give a bowl of milk.
i would recommend giving the cat a bath with warm water and detergent to remove all the flea treatment then getting it to the vet ASAP
this frothing at the mouth is a sign of toxicity and you should be particularly concerned if the flea treatment contains the ingrediant pyrethrin which can be very toxic to cats and cause seizures

  6. if the cat can lick where you sprayed him he can eat it.. its poison… poison kills thats y with cats you have to put it right in between the shoulder blades where they cant reach with their paws and cant lick take him to the vet
